I am SUPER excited to share this review and giveaway with you guys! If you haven’t heard about RxBars yet then get excited, because they are the real deal 
RxBars are the only high protein energy bar (at least that I have seen) that are entirely paleo and actually Whole30 approved That is awesome news for anyone who is starting a Whole30 January 1st (I did a Whole45 last year starting January 1st and it was a really good way to detox from the holidays!)
According to their website, “at RxBar, we believe that food should be simple and delicious without compromising nutrition. We believe that quality ingredients should never be sacrificed because of cost. We believe that foods should be consumed as nature intended. This is why we do what we do and as a company all of our products directly reflect these values.”
RxBar is a great company based out of Chicago, IL and provides a product that has a short ingredient list (only 7!) of real food ingredients. The best part? Their products are really yummy and a lifesaver for travel, post-workout, or just having on hand when you want something a little sweet but that will satiate you for a long time!
Ingredients and Nutrition
A little more info from their website on their wonderful products: ”RxBar is 100% Paleo and natural. They do not contain: grains, added sugars, gluten, soy, dairy, or any artificial or processed ingredients.
RxBars are the only fruit and nut protein bar out there. Each bar contains 15 grams of muscle-building protein derived naturally from egg whites and raw almonds. Our bars contain no artificial sugars – they are sweetened by real fruits - the micronutrient-dense date and fig, both of which are also great sources of natural fiber.”
RxBar sent me each of their four flavors to review and share with all my lovely readers AND one of each flavor to send to one lucky friend! Not only do they taste great and totally fill you up, but they are BIG, so if you only want half the bags are RESEALABLE which is about the coolest thing ever for a protein bar! I never want the entire thing at once, so that feature was a bonus for me! The texture is really chewy, which I enjoyed but I think if I had eaten an entire one at once it might be a little gummy (due to the egg white protein) so half was perfect.
My favorite flavor, hands down, was the Coffee Cacao. It was addicting and I actually had to stop myself from eating the entire thing in one sitting The Coconut Cacao and Apple Cinnamon were tied for second favorite, because I LOVE coconut anything and cinnamon anything! I think the Apple Cinnamon one had the best texture of all four. My least favorite was the Blueberry, it tasted just a little artificial to me, but I still liked it and would buy it again!
